Filled with naturally preserved Helichrysum flower heads, The Gathered Garden is a small harvest of everlasting blooms, ready to be poured into a favourite bowl, tucked beneath a cloche, or gathered somewhere unexpected in the home. No two flowers are precisely alike. We wouldn't want them to be.

There is something particularly lovely about a flower after its stem has been removed.

We notice it differently.

Its layers of petals. Its wonderfully papery texture. The tiny variations in colour from one bloom to the next. Suddenly, something that might once have been part of a larger arrangement becomes an object worthy of attention all on its own.

Helichrysums are especially suited to this kind of noticing. Sometimes called everlasting flowers, they retain their shape, colour and distinctive texture beautifully after drying, which has made them a favourite in the Imaginary Meadows studio.

For The Gathered Garden, we have collected the flower heads together by colour and tucked them into a windowed box, almost like a little botanical harvest waiting to find its place.

Pour them generously into one of our Eric + Eloise bowls, gather them in an old pottery or silver dish, fill a glass vessel, or place a handful beneath a favourite cloche. Move them as the seasons change. Mix them with other natural treasures. Or simply leave them exactly as they are.

Unlike one of Michele's finished botanical compositions, this is a piece of the Meadow that you get to arrange.

Each box contains approximately 2.75 oz of preserved Helichrysum flower heads, enough to create a wonderfully abundant display in a large decorative bowl.

Available in three naturally beautiful palettes:

Natural White — soft cream, parchment and faded straw
Natural Pink — blush, rose and beautifully antiqued pink
Natural Salmon — warm coral, apricot, amber and sun-faded gold

Pour in the flowers and resist the temptation to arrange them too carefully. Part of their beauty is in the abundance, the way the blooms tumble against one another as though they have just been gathered from the drying room.
