WHY THESE FLOWERS ARE DIFFERENT

For a while, Autumn arrives in whispers.

A cooler morning. A deepening colour. A berry ripening along the path. Then one day, the oak trees begin releasing their leaves and there is no mistaking it—the season has arrived.

When the Oaks Let Go was created for that day.

Preserved oak leaves spread outward in all their earthy, irregular beauty, touched with the faintest white wash as though weather has already begun leaving its mark. Deep golden dried roses rise above natural white Helichrysums and the petite flower heads of Tanacetum parthenium, while chocolate-brown curly stems dance overhead with the wonderful unpredictability of leaves caught on an autumn breeze.

There is warmth here, but also movement. A little wildness. And something unexpectedly joyful about watching the landscape surrender so completely to change.

Michele arranges every single piece by hand. She doesn't use a formula. She works with the natural shape of each stem until the composition feels right. The result is something that looks both wild and intentional - like a corner of a real garden, stopped in time.

THE BOTANICALS USED IN THIS PIECE:

  • Rose

Dried to a vibrant, fiery intensity, these roses offer a structured, sun-drenched hue and a classic "luxe" garden aesthetic.

Helichrysum (Strawflowers)

A warm luminous bloom, the star in most arrangements. It holds its colour and shape for years after preservation.

A joyful study in pastoral charm and crisp botanical geometry, Feverfew is celebrated for its abundant sprays of miniature, daisy-like blossoms and deeply lobed, aromatic foliage. Each petite flower features a bright golden-yellow button centre ringed by pure, ray-like white petals that dance atop branched, upright stems.

Preserved with a gentle white wash, these leathery leaves offer a soft, "frosted" elegance and a sophisticated seasonal depth.

Curly Ting Ting

Playful, spiralling stems that add a whimsical final touch - the detail that makes you look twice. These are often dyed to complement the piece.
