WHY THESE FLOWERS ARE DIFFERENT

Most decorative pieces are forgotten. This one gets noticed - every time.

I had wanted to make this wreath for a long time.

Its generous 32-inch form is created almost entirely from Setaria italica, gathered into a wild, sweeping circle and gently washed with misty grey. Beneath that softened colour, small traces of green remain—as though Autumn has not quite disappeared beneath Winter's approach.

That in-between quality is what I love most about it.

The grasses belong to the harvest of Autumn. Their silvery-grey stillness anticipates Winter. And held within every seed head is the quiet possibility of Spring.

Three seasons, somehow existing together.

There is something reassuring about that.

The garden may become still. Colour may retreat. Snow may eventually cover the ground. But none of those things mean the story has ended.

Nature is simply carrying something forward where we cannot yet see it.

What Comes After was created as a reminder of that quiet promise—a wreath for Autumn and Winter, and for all the hope we place in the Spring waiting beyond them.

At 32 inches, its large scale gives the piece a striking presence while the restrained palette and natural movement allow its beauty to remain wonderfully quiet.

Michele arranges every single piece by hand. She doesn't use a formula. She works with the natural shape of each stem until the composition feels right. The result is something that looks both wild and intentional - like a corner of a real garden, stopped in time.

The vessel itself is a sculpture. It's the kind of piece that owns its space where ever you place it - for years to come. Your guests will notice it and ask: "Where did you get that?"

"Truly one-of-a-kind, as no two arrangements can ever look alike, just as Mother Nature intended."

THE BOTANICALS USED IN THIS PIECE:

Often called Foxtail Millet, these plush, cylindrical plumes offer a soft, tactile "brush" effect and a graceful meadow sway.
