WHERE BEAUTY MEETS MEANING

Before there was a Framily, there were Eric and Eloise.

A hare and a fox might not seem the most obvious of companions. But theirs is the unlikely friendship at the heart of Canadian artist and author Jessica Hiemstra's original Eric + Eloise story—and the beginning from which an entire woodland world eventually grew.

Here, the two friends meet again.

Eric appears at one end of this beautifully aged metallic bowl, his unmistakable ears rising above the rim. At the other is Eloise, while sculptural branches seem to grow beneath them, quietly connecting one side to the other.

There is something especially lovely about seeing them this way.

Not simply beside one another, but part of the same vessel.

We brought the Friendship Bowl into Meadows & Muse because the story behind it feels very close to something we believe: the objects we choose for our homes can hold more than function. They can remind us of stories, relationships and small truths we want to keep near.

And perhaps Eric and Eloise offer one worth remembering.

This is a piece made for gathering.
