WHERE BEAUTY MEETS MEANING

Some characters seem perfectly capable of wandering from one story into another.

Emerson is one of them.

With his magnificent tail feathers, beautifully detailed plumage and wonderfully unexpected top hat, this golden pheasant carries all the artfulness and playfulness of the Eric + Eloise world into the home.

Artist and author Jessica Hiemstra created that world from memories of her own childhood among the forests of Canada and an affection for Scandinavian folktales. What began as the unlikely friendship between Eric the hare and Eloise the fox grew into an entire "Framily" of woodland characters, with Emerson joining the story in Charlie in Spring.

Here, Emerson has been given one more responsibility: holding the candle.

And somehow, he looks as though he has always considered himself perfectly suited to the task.

Placed along a dining table, upon a mantel or tucked among collected treasures, Emerson brings warm candlelight together with the peculiar charm of finding a little of the forest indoors.

It is exactly the sort of object we love for Meadows & Muse—something useful made more delightful simply because someone imagined it differently.

Perhaps Emerson hasn't merely wandered into the Meadow.

Perhaps he dressed for the occasion.

PERFECT PLACEMENT IN YOUR HOME

Emerson is happiest wherever a little candlelight and character are welcome. Let him preside over a dining table among gathered botanicals, perch along a mantel, or place him on a console where his wonderfully long tail and top hat can be properly admired.

Try him with a softly coloured taper candle and allow the warm glow to catch the details of his golden plumage. He is particularly charming nestled among dried branches, seed heads and other natural treasures—as though this rather distinguished visitor has simply wandered in from the woodland and decided to stay for dinner.

Perfect for: dining tables, mantels, sideboards, consoles and collected seasonal displays.

A FEW MORE DETAILS:

Emerson measures 13" W x 4.75" D x 10" H (33 W x 12 D x 25.5 H cm) and weighs just over 2 lbs (907g).
