WHY THESE FLOWERS ARE DIFFERENT

Most decorative pieces are forgotten. This one gets noticed - every time.

There is a different kind of wind in Autumn. It moves through the garden with just enough insistence to remind us that the season is changing. Grasses lean. Leaves turn their pale undersides toward the sky. Stems bend into one another and, for a moment, the whole garden seems to move as one.

That feeling found its way into this wreath almost without my intending it. Rich burgundy-red teasels create its strong, architectural foundation, while slender willow eucalyptus weaves between them in soft olive tones. Delicate pink Bupleurum drifts throughout, bringing an unexpected softness against the wonderfully untamed texture of the teasels.

But it is the movement I love most.

Nothing feels perfectly still. Leaves curve outward, stems wander beyond the circle and the botanicals seem caught in the middle of an Autumn breeze. I could have encouraged everything back into place. Instead, I left the wind in it. Because sometimes the first sign that a season is turning isn't something we see at all.

It is something we feel.

Michele arranges every single piece by hand. She doesn't use a formula. She works with the natural shape of each stem until the composition feels right. The result is something that looks both wild and intentional - like a corner of a real garden, stopped in time.

Willow Eucalyptus

Long, graceful, and slender, Willow Eucalyptus provides a cascading, "waterfall" movement and a sophisticated, muted-sage palette.

Bupleurum

Known for its dainty "star" clusters, Bupleurum adds a refreshing, airy transparency and a sense of light, "fresh-cut" vitality. Sometimes dyed to add a hint of contrast to one of Michele's creations.
