IMAGINARY MEADOWS · BOTANICAL PHOTOGRAPHY BY MICHAEL
Toward The Blue
NATURE DOESN'T NEED EDITING. IT NEEDS NOTICING.
Sometimes the garden reminds us simply to look up.
Photographed from below, globe thistles rise toward an uninterrupted summer sky, their sculptural forms becoming almost larger than life. Toward The Blue captures a familiar part of the garden from an unexpected point of view.
A quiet reminder that changing where we stand can change what we see.
One Photograph. 3 Ways To Live With It.
Each photograph is released in a limited edition determined by size. Choose the presentation that feels right for your home—unframed Fine Art Print, framed Fine Art Print, or framed Canvas. Edition numbers are shared across all three presentation formats.

The Botanical Photography Standard
What Makes Michael's Botanical Photography Different
NOTICED, NEVER STAGED
Michael photographs the natural world as he encounters it. Never arranging a scene or asking nature to become something it wasn't.
AN OBSERVER'S EYE
A lifetime of looking closely has taught Michael to notice the details, perspectives and fleeting moments others might simply pass by.
TRUE TO THE MOMENT
The photograph remains faithful to what Michael saw, the natural light, colour, texture and character of the moment he chose to preserve.
MADE AS FINE ART
Each limited-edition photograph is produced with archival materials, finished to Michael's specifications and made to live beautifully for generations.
UNIQUELY IMAGINARY MEADOWS
The extraordinary is already there.
You only have to notice it.
BRINGING THE OUTSIDE CLOSER
A Window Into the Natural World
Michael's photographs are made to become part of the rooms you live in—not simply something to fill a wall. A thistle seen from below. Light moving across a petal. The architecture hidden inside a flower.
Each photograph brings one of those noticed moments home, offering a quiet connection to the natural world every time you pass it.
Imagine Seeing It Again.
You chose the photograph because something in it made you stop. Perhaps it was the light. A colour you hadn't noticed before. The extraordinary geometry hidden inside an ordinary flower.
Then it comes home.
It hangs in the place you chose for it, and over time you begin to see it differently. Morning light catches one detail. You notice another as you pass in the evening. Something Michael stopped to see for a moment in nature becomes something you can return to, again and again.
Your questions, answered.
Yes. Every image in Michael's Botanical Photography collection was photographed by Michael and reflects his practice of observing the natural world as he finds it. Scenes are not staged or arranged for the photograph.
Both are archival-quality presentations of the same limited-edition photograph.
Fine Art Print offers the exceptional detail, tonal range and quiet refinement of a traditional photographic print, while Canvas introduces additional texture and dimensional presence.
Whichever you choose, your artwork will be finished according to Michael's specifications and arrive framed and ready to hang.
Consider both the dimensions of your wall and how you would like the photograph to feel within the room.
A 12 × 16 works beautifully in more intimate spaces, while 18 × 24 and 24 × 32 give the photograph increasing presence.
Before ordering, we recommend marking the dimensions on your wall with painter's tape or paper so you can experience the scale in your own space.
Each photograph is released in a finite number at each size: 30 at 12 × 16, 20 at 18 × 24, and 10 at 24 × 32.
The edition is shared between Fine Art Print and Canvas, rather than creating a separate edition for each format.
Once all works in a particular size have been produced, that size will no longer be available.
Yes. Each limited-edition work is individually numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, documenting the photograph, edition and provenance of the piece.
Your photograph is made to order in the size and format you select, finished according to Michael's specifications, and delivered framed and ready to hang.
It will be carefully packaged to protect the finished artwork throughout its journey to your home. All you need to decide is where it belongs.
Michael's photographs are produced using archival-quality materials selected for exceptional longevity. Once hung, protect your artwork from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive humidity and significant temperature fluctuations. Specific care guidance will accompany your finished piece.
